Young Advisors

Currently 15 members aged from 13-19 representing various groups, projects and young people across the borough.

Sutton Young Advisors have met this month to discuss what they would like to see happen in Sutton for Young people, and how young people can get actively involved in the decisions that affect their lives.

Some of the Young Advisors met with head council staff including lead Councillor Sean Brennan and Chief Executive for Sutton Council Paul Martin to start the conversation between council and young people. Council are keen to have more young people involved in Sutton Council.

Some members have also attended the Executive Committee meeting at Sutton and the Children's Trust Board meeting to discuss how young people can get involved in Sutton's Children and Young People's Plan.

The Young Advisors are starting to plan a launch which they would like to hold at a youth centre and invite young people from all across Sutton to have their say about youth issues and how they would like to get involved. More details to follow!
